FMTT searches for the "Best" Online Specials available from a variety of "major" Online Tee-Time companies. Salt Creek GC in Chula Vista, closed on March 18th.....a special shout goes out to Salt Creek's GM - Armando Najera for being such a strong supporter of our ValueBook and Online programs over the years! "Unfortunately, with the rising costs of water and fewer golfers, the course has been losing money since its opening in 2000, despite vigorous attempts by three different owners over the last 17 years". In the industry overall, the economic viability of new and existing golf courses is in sharp decline, with the exception of those supported by a residential development community, local municipality, private membership club or resort. San Geronimo GC, La Contenta GC (Valley Springs), Murphys 9 at Forest Meadows (Murphys) and Horse Thief G&CC (Tehachapi) recently closed their doors (some are for sale) along with more than 200+ other Courses across the country and expect more of the same in 2018.....there's been 800+ Course closures over the last decade in the U.S.....But Phil and Tiger are back.....so stay tuned!
